50 Years…
So, I've clocked 50 years on this Earth, and what a journey it's been!
Born in New York, raised in the chill of Minnesnowta, I pursued my education in Wisconsin, and by '97, I found myself settling in Iowa. Childhood was a mix of Cub Scouts, progressing from Bobcat to Eagle Scout, and a solid stint as a soccer player from age six to 17. High School was conquered at Byron High in Minnesota—Go BEARS!
Against my military ambitions, my father nudged me into COLLEGE, landing me in Milwaukee in the fall of '91 (shortly after Dahmer's capture). Initially diving into Architectural Engineering, I faced the tough duo of Physics and Calculus. Opting for a change, I shifted gears to Business and Management Systems, graduating in '97 with a BS in the field and a minor in Marketing.
Post-grad life kicked off at Principal Financial in Des Moines, followed by a pivot into IT Consulting. For the next two decades, until 2019, I navigated various corporate landscapes, grappling with the inevitable politics. While I loved the IT realm, the corporate game grew wearisome. Additionally, I embarked on a brief side quest adventure as CEO/Head Broom Officer/Brewer with Wing Nutt Brewing in Altoona, IA, spanning from 2014 to 2017.
The game-changer came in 2008 when I embraced fatherhood—undoubtedly the highlight of my existence. My incredible daughter, Willow, brought boundless joy with her intelligence, kindness, humor, creativity, and a touch of the wisdom of an old soul.
In 2019, during a job transition and dabbling in Uber/Lyft, a pivotal moment occurred at Ironclad. A simple question to Adam altered the course of my life: "You looking for an artist?"
...and here I am.
