Marching ON!
What an incredible journey this month has been! Saying goodbye to Ironclad, transitioning to my new home at Color Works Tattoo, embarking on a road trip to St. Louis, and finally, settling into the new shop with my amazing new shop family.
Leaving Ironclad was a tough decision, but I firmly believe in the universe guiding me, and I'm genuinely happy to see the team thriving with the addition of a new artist.
My transition to Color Works began in mid-February when I was offered the position. It was a decision that required careful consideration, and with the unwavering support of my incredible wife Kate, I made the leap. Thank you, honey, for being my rock through it all!
The family at Color Works is simply fantastic! Each member brings unique skills, personalities, and a growth mindset, making every moment memorable. It's been an incredibly smooth transition to my new tattoo home, and I'm excited for what the future holds. To my clients, come by and experience the safe, clean, and professional environment we've created.
On March 12th, I headed south to St. Louis, MO, to visit friends and fellow artists at Ragtime Tattoo. Matt Hodel, a 28-year tattooist and founder of Jackpot Tattoo Community, graciously hosted me. Over three days, we delved into the history and structure of American Traditional Tattoos, honing my skills and Matt sharing his vast knowledge. Visiting Trader Bob's Tattoo was a highlight, soaking in its rich history and connecting with fellow artists. Special thanks to Steven, Ryan, Billy, and Matt for their invaluable insights and guidance during this enriching experience.
